25th Anniversary Events

To celebrate 25 years of serving Penn Hills and the surrounding communities, we are hosting a month of educational and interactive programs in May! May 1 is our 25th Anniversary, and also the drawing date for our Anniversary Grooming Raffle, which has been available to our patrons the last two months. Any customers purchasing ten dollars or more in retail have received an entry into the drawing. The winner receives a free basic grooming package at Animal Hut for a dog or cat [ see previous post regarding raffle details].

Every day in May, Animal Hut customers will receive in-store specials, including giveaways of natural foods and treats [while supplies last], commemorative bows, and 50% off regular pricing on scented spa packages with all grooming. We have pulled out all the stops to offer our customers tons of good stuff, and it's only just beginning.

Saturdays in May will feature special events at Animal Hut, including presentations in our store by specialists in the area. May 17 will be "Ask-a-Vet" day with Dr. Tom Wiles of Pittsburgh Spay and Vaccination Clinic from 10 am until 1 pm, and pet food education with Russell Lowell from The Nutro Company from 12 pm until 3 pm. May 24 we will host Q&A with Pat Moloney, local NAPWDA [North American Police Working Dog Association] certified obedience trainer from 11 am until 3 pm, as well as a grooming demonstration at 12 pm by Animal Hut owner Renee Lauer.

We also plan to offer a day of free-nail trims from 11 am until 2 pm on May 17, to say thank you to our community for 25 years of friendship and support. No appointment is necessary to receive a free nail-trim for your dog or cat. All of these events are listed on our new schedule, located under the "About Us" section. In addition, The Penn Hills Progress will be publishing an article regarding our anniversary and these events during the week of 04/22/14, complete with photographs.
